The List of Documents in Logistics

Documents in logistics can be divided into the following categories:

1. Consignment note It is the most important document in the rail freight process. This document is given by the consigner. Consignment has the basic information about the cargo, which are cargo characteristics, fee, amount and weight. It also has the original stamps. Consignment with the original stamps are created in 4 copies. One copy is kept by the consigner, the second copy is kept by the consignee, the third copy is kept by the carrier and the last fourth copy is kept by us, further which we will send electronically to our client with an invoice for payment.

2. Waybill This document contains important information about the freight deadlines and the information about trans—shipment stations. They followed the volume and deadline of the freight. This document is sent by the consigned , where the first copy accompanies until the destination station, where it should be shown to the cargo receiver. The second copy should be left at the dispatching station.

3. The agreement between cosigner and consignee This document is not a compulsory one, however they should be prepared to avoid any negative circumstances and problems.

Why is it important to properly complete documentation?

All of the foregoing documents must contain information that is consistent with one another. The information on the invoice must match the information on the transport documents and documents provided by the government. To put it another way, each document should be part of a larger image that depicts the cargo from all angles. There will be no queries from the carriers, cargo owners, or customs services in this situation.
